We founded From Generation to Generation to encourage, coach and support the wonderful intention of people to record precious memories before they are lost for all time. As personal historians, we believe in the great value of personal stories and how they are woven into the lives of grandchildren, siblings, extended family and friends.
David is North Carolina’s #1 Biographical Video Historian
In addition to producing video biographies, David and Janice deliver lectures and workshops across the Piedmont area of NC regarding the importance of preserving one’s personal history. “Our goal is to help people record life stories—whether on video or with a pen and paper.”
As a clergy person for 40 years, David counseled grieving families and witnessed the unfortunate loss of opportunity for families to capture life stories before it was too late.
In l998, David decided to videotape his parents’ biographical stories. A year later, his father died unexpectedly at age 84, and his mother began to suffer from dementia. Now, David will be able to share his parents’ legacies with grandchildren and great-grandchildren who never did meet his parents. These incidents became David’s inspiration for combining his passion as a personal historian with the technology to produce video biographies in partnership with From Generation to Generation, LLC.
