Video Portraits/Documentaries
(Our specialty product) Our specialty is producing video biographies and portraits for family and business. A video portrait reveals the life of someone through his own eyes and in his own words. More than any other medium, video captures the verbal and nonverbal nuances of a personality, such as laughter and facial expressions, as well as the use and expressions of words in the narrator’s own vernacular. The camera captures the spirit of the person, with his dialect and gestures, as he tells future generations how he engaged life in his day and time. In this kind of "living portrait," viewers engage and experience the personality of the speaker, feeling as if he is living there with them in the moment. WHAT A WONDERFUL WAY TO HONOR A WELL-LIVED LIFE. What better way to create an amazing family or business legacy than in a video portrait, where stories are told "in person" so generations will remember and honor those who lived admirable lives and left their mark and influence on future generations. “We recently made a DVD of shared memories of our mother and daddy….My grandchildren, who are now teenagers never knew my parents and were excited to learn about them in such a personal way. I cannot imagine a better gift than to give them insight into their heritage…We loved doing the tape and loved sharing it…Hopefully some day they will share it with their family." -Mary Alice Morgan Often-asked Questions What is a video biography? A video biography tells your life story on film. It is the result of a 2-3 hour interview, done in your own environment, using cue cards, if you choose, so you do not have to memorize what you want to share. Photos, personal memorabilia, old film clips, and footage from interviews with friends and family can be included. When the interview is edited, you will have approximately 50 minutes of joyous entertainment about your life, told in your own words. What a wonderful family heirloom for future generations to enjoy and appreciate. Why Do a Biography? A video biography will provide your family with a gift that will become priceless when you are gone and will keep your memory alive for generations to come. Someone once wrote: “A person dies twice: once when he or she is buried and once when he or she is forgotten.” A video biography makes sure you will not be forgotten. Why Choose From Generation to Generation? We are motivated by a desire to help families create a unique lifetime experience. We are a “people business,” not a video company. As a result, our clients enjoy the way we support and guide them; they feel grateful to us for showing them how easy it is to capture and preserve their stories for following generations. Who Are Our Clients? Usually, our clients are adult children who are afraid of losing the life stories of beloved parents and/or grandparents. They work with us to capture these stories, before it is too late At times, seniors, or elderly people, come to us because they want to be remembered, long after they are gone, for how they lived and for what they believed. They have decided their story is the best and only personal gift they have left to give to their grandchildren. Why Use Video? Film captures your laughter, your mannerisms, your way of speaking, and your spirit better than any other medium. It puts you in front of your audience where you can speak directly to them and share your stories and life experiences. When it comes to capturing your personality and spirit, nothing compares with a video biography. Imagine what it would be like to watch facial expressions and hand gestures and hear the voice of someone you deeply love who has died, as he/she tells what it was like growing up, how he/she lived, and what were the important events in his/her life. |
